Wildlife North Wing These images are from Homosassa Springs, Wildlife State Park, Florida. These critters are all indigenous to Florida except Lou the Hippo. He is a hold over from when the park was a privately owned roadside attraction. When it fell to disrepair, the State bought and restored it. It's waterways are fed by warm springs which maintain a constant temperature of 72 degrees Fahrenheit and are the winter home to many Manatees who escape the Gulf of Mexico's winter water temperature.
